Valor Library

The mission of the Valor Library and Research Center is to strengthen the information literacy skills of the students and faculty through activities and resources that support Valor's curriculum and use of technology. A variety of viewpoints are represented in books, audiotapes, periodicals, and electronic resources to stimulate critical thinking, authentic research, and a love of reading.

The Valor Library is open from 7:15-3:30, Monday through Friday.

Valor Resources
Destiny: Online book catalog of Valor Library materials World Book Encyclopedia: Information for preliminary search, access relevant primary documents and e-books. Teen Health and Wellness: trial database for health research. User name=vchs; Password=vchs1 Gale Virtual Reference: A suite of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Biography Resource Center - Biographies of people throughout history with images and links to hand-picked web sites; people from all eras and fields of endeavor. Science Resource Center - Comprehensive coverage of earth science, life science, and more with topic overviews, experiments, biographies, pictures, and illustrations. EbscoHOST: Database of magazines, newspapers, and peer-reviewed journals for research.

Douglas County Libraries Arapahoe Library District Denver Public Library Online Library of Congress--Our national treasures including American Memory, Thomas, Global Gateway, and Digital collections. PubMed =a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine that includes over 17 million citations from MEDLINE and other life science journals for biomedical articles back to the 1950s. PubMed includes links to full text articles and other related resources.
