As a college preparatory school, Valor Christian is committed to helping you and your parents with college planning. During your first year at Valor, you and your parents will meet with the college counselors to create a dedicated and comprehensive four-year plan of each student's goals and objectives. Our curriculum is designed to meet the most unique or rigorous college admissions requirements so that you can pursue a college admission that best fits with your goals. In addition to academic objectives, four year plans include exciting student activities and co-curricular functions.
As you progress through your studies at Valor we will encourage you to refine your personal objectives and four-year plan. We will help you access and review their progress to properly evaluate both your potential and performance. Your sophomore year will focus on career exploration and planning. During your junior year, you will be advised how to begin more intensive study and planning that will guide you in the exciting task of choosing a college.
As a Junior, you should narrow your college choices and begin visiting prospective schools. Valor attracts visits admissions representatives from many colleges across the nation. You are encouraged to engage these college representatives as they discuss their schools and the opportunities available.
By the fall of your senior year, the counselors will confer with you and your parents to assist in making final decisions about colleges to which you will apply. They will also assist you in learning the procedures and strategies for the college application and scholarship process.
